The Pearl bathroom furniture set, designed by Fatih Mintas, is a testament to the fusion of form and function. Inspired by the need for functional storage and long-lasting design, this collection offers a timeless aesthetic that will elevate any bathroom space.

One of the unique properties of the Pearl bathroom furniture set is its composition of three components: a mirror, washbasin, and wall-hang modules. The slim edges and clean lines of the furniture set create a modern and sophisticated look.

The materials used in this project are carefully selected for their durability and aesthetic appeal. The main body of the furniture set features a cream-colored solid acrylic material, symbolizing purity. The sanitary ware system is finished in a matte glazed pergamon color, which combines beautifully with the inox armatures. The lids of the Pearl furniture set have a light appearance, thanks to the glazed half-transparent cream lacquer finish on the ashwood tree, which adds a touch of elegance.

The mirror in the Pearl collection features a wooden structure and an indirect lighting system. The power of the lighting can be controlled with a capacitive sensor, providing a customizable and convenient experience.

Technical specifications of the Pearl washbasin cabinet include a width of 115cm, with two drawers and a hidden drawer under the deck. The solid acrylic-based material of the body is treated with Kale Guard liquid veneering, ensuring ultimate cleaning functionality. The counter of the washbasin is designed to prevent liquid overflow, with the side and rear parts securely connected to the counter.

The Pearl bathroom furniture set is the result of a collaboration between Fatih Mintas and Özgür Alp, with the project starting in Istanbul in early 2012. The design was first exhibited at the Cersaie Bologna Fair in 2013, gaining recognition for its innovative approach to bathroom furniture.

Overcoming creative and technical challenges, the Pearl collection successfully matches the matte glazed color of the sanitary ware with the cream acrylic material. The production process involves multiple facilities, each specializing in different materials and components. The solid body is constructed first, followed by the addition of wooden parts and accessories such as drawers and rail systems. The sanitary ware is produced separately to ensure the perfect fit within the furniture, and the final touch is the armature, completing the technical aspects of the design.

The Pearl bathroom furniture set has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category in 2014. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
